Sustainable Braintree, working with the Mass Climate Action Network (MCAN) is embarking on a new campaign. Cool Mass will empower and inspire a remarkable 25% of households to reduce their carbon footprints 25% by the close of 2012. The first group of Cool Mass communities, including Braintree, have begun the training necessary to build the local networks necessary to reach our considerable goal.
We are intentionally setting an extremely challenging goal in reaching for 25% of our community's households. You know how difficult it is to get a quarter of the population to take any action. But we also all know how critical it is for us to mobilize a huge reduction in carbon. By doing this we can not only show that this CAN be done, but we will also stand before the nation as a model for HOW to do it.
