The students spent a Saturday morning at the Community Table of the Braintree Farmers’ Market.  Later in the afternoon, the team presented the inspiring "Awakening the Dreamer" symposium, a thought-provoking workshop that presents a “whole-world view” of the importance of implementing clean energy solutions.  It demonstrated how the choices we make will not only impact our environment, but will also affect social justice and our spiritual well-being. 

No matter how daunting the problems of climate change may seem, the students sought to prove that we have the resources to avert an environmental catastrophe if we act in time. “These young activists are bright, creative, and committed, spending their summers working and biking across the state to draw attention to global climate change,” said Massachusetts Senator John Kerry. “This is a fight for their future. The Climate Summer activists understand the urgency, and we need more people, of all ages, to follow their lead and get involved in this fight.”
