Dear Community Garden Supporters,
The first year of the Perkins Park Community Garden, located at the intersection of Liberty and Union Streets, was a resounding success! The land was cleared, 17 plots were assigned, a shed for housing tools and hoses was built and lots of vegetables and flowers were planted. This was all possible due to our numerous supporters: Braintree Lumber, Inc., Braintree Cooperative Bank, Home Depot, Richmond Hardware, MKE Development & Egasti Consulting, Jim Diaute, Patrick Sweeney, John Sullivan, Shed designer and builder and the many community gardeners who donated hours of their time helping with the shed building and garden improvements.
It may look like winter, but it's time to sign up for the 2011 season. Follow the link for the 2011 Community Garden ~ Perkins Park Application; Rules and Responsibilities
